Albums
Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums as well as 4 live albums. There are also compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed The members of the band did session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 as a result of the collaboration.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985 the singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group, and the band held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the album Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the band. The band dug through old recordings and tapes to create the special record. The album was well-received by fans, and Toto began an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer on the tour for the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour and an interview with Toto.

Toto is a rock group from the US that was formed in Van Nuys in Greater Los Angeles in 1977. During the tour, lead vocalist Bobby Kimball was arrested on drug charges. The band decided to let him go at the end of the tour and then hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams in his place. David Hungate, the drummer also quit the band following the tour. Leland Sklar took over his place.

The album, which was released on November 6, 2018 included three brand new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as a complete recording of four tracks from the past with Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also featured a cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band decided to include after hearing the song on the radio.
